And now, we actually have a song by The Ventures, instead of one of their many covers. These guys form the foundation of a lot of early rock. They've got no singer, but that's no problem. This is off one of their earliest albums, and so it really captures a more popular style. It's similar to the Beatles; their first albums really catered to a huge audience. The Ventures did not venture very far from this style, but it was just enough to give them their own identity. Perfidia is kind of a typical template for their type of music. A catchy, poppy guitar tune, a surf rock drum beat, and a peppy bass beat. Granted, I think it'd be fun to play and solo this still. Instrumentals nowadays can be ridiculously difficult. These were simpler times.
